> Adopt a Client: Simplifying the Experiment <

12 05 2008

We have had well over 200 visitors to our Adopt a Client blog post since we posted it last week, which is impressive for us since we still don’t promote the blog too heavily. What we have learned is that as receptive as folks have been to having their project featured on our blog for the month of June as a creative, real-time case study, they are less excited about posting potential projects for a variety of different reasons. Most notably, we did not expect organizations to submit projects that would be “sensitive” in nature (competitive analyses, new product opportunities, benchmarking, strategic partnerships).

To that end, we are simplifying the project approach. If you are interested in participating, just send us an email with the information requested below, to suneet@socialsymmetry.com. We will continue to accept submissions through May 22nd (extended one week as some prospects have asked for additional time to think through their submissions).

You can view the details of the program here. If you’re looking to extend an invitation to other organizations who may be interested in participating, the email copy below is simple enough to forward along, too. It makes a better email than it does a blog post…but that’s intentional.

Let us know what you think about the experiment. We always enjoy the dialogue.

“Social Symmetry, a management consulting company focused on helping organizations maximize their social impact, recently announced an “Adopt a Client” initiative. Social Symmetry will donate some of their time, pro-bono, to help ANY organization work through a project that has a socially responsible mission or subtext (or, a project where the organization would like to introduce such a dimension). Their goal is to help these organizations realize the potential and opportunity of paying attention to two forgotten stakeholders: the environment where they operate, and the communities that they affect.

Social Symmetry accepting submissions (send an email to suneet@socialsymmetrycom, and the winner will be selected democratically as well:

It’s a no-risk program for you, and we only benefit if we deliver a product that the adoptee is satisfied with (since it is “free”). If you’re interested, feel free to contact Social Symmetry directly. We encourage you to forward this along to someone else you think may be interested.

Thanks!”
